White label branding (or “white labeling”) is a manufacturing and marketing practice in which one company creates a product or service and another sells it under its own brand. Cloud Software is a complex solution that should be adopted individually for every use case, as some components cannot be replaced totally by the reseller, for example, product documentation or technical support that requires involvement of the vendor’s DevOps team.

Jelastic provides a turnkey PaaS that can be installed on the third-party infrastructure with a specific level of white labeling. This lets service providers offer Jelastic cloud platform as a part of their own product line or even build a fully separate business direction. Below you can review what components and to what extent can be rebranded:

Platform Dev Dashboard for End-Users

  • Domain name – platform domain name can be set up as any arbitrary custom domain name
  • Logo – a graphic mark or symbol that represents a company. The branded logo of the company can be placed at the sign-up/in window and in the top left corner of the dashboard
  • Favicon – also known as a website icon or tab icon. This is a small graphic mark that represents company in a web browser
  • Brand name – text wordmark that represents company name within tips and hints of the dashboard
  • Localization – dashboard language can be replaced with any other by the service partner. This option does not affect applications in the Marketplace.
  • Color scheme – dashboard elements customization can be applied through the Custom Dashboard Settings. It allows to change colors for a set of windows and tabs within the dashboard
  • URLs – web addresses within the platform dashboard which reference to the outside resources such as documentation, support portal and other system links.
  • Applications in the Marketplace – each application has a logo and description that can be arbitrarily changed. After installation some applications show a Hello World web page with a Jelastic logo. Such applications can be either unpublished or customized
  • Splash screen – contains “Powered By Jelastic” logo/wordmark. This logo/wordmark can be disabled

Cluster Admin Panel

  • Domain name – cluster admin panel domain name can be set up as any arbitrary custom domain name
  • Logo – a graphic mark or symbol that represents a company. Learn more
  • Favicon – also known as a website icon or tab icon. This is a small graphic mark that represents company in a web browser
  • Brand name – text wordmark that represents company name within tips and hints of the dashboard
  • Localization – email templates can be customized by the client via translating content to any other language
  • URLs – web addresses within the cluster admin panel which reference to the outside resources such as documentation, system links, etc.
