HostingCon is an industry trade show and conference for cloud and web hosting providers and this year it was held in sunny San Diego at the San Diego Convention Center. The main idea behind the expo is to share industry knowledge and experience and it is the only North American event tailored to serve the cloud hosting community.
This year Jelastic exhibited alongside almost 150 other participants promoting cloud services for medium and large-sized hosting service providers, telcos, systems integrators, DevOps teams and internet service providers.
The team we sent to HostingCon was Jelastic CEO Ruslan Synytsky, Director of Marketing Tetiana Fydorenchyk and Director of Business Development Alex Anikin.
Jelastic exhibited at booth # 727 with our new space themed stand where we met up with our current and potential partners, as well as shared in-depth demos with interested participants.
At the event, we signed two new USA deals with a private cloud company and a local hosting provider (official launch is coming soon).
During the conference, Jelastic distributed a press release launching our new Premium Virtual Private Cloud. Also we promoted two contests - one for cloud hosting companies who can get a 100% discount on Jelastic billing and integration fees (valued at $20k), and the second for Java developers who have a chance to dine with James Gosling (Father of Java) during JavaOne in San Francisco.
The networking events were fantastic and included a HostingCon Game Show, an opening networking reception, business connection sessions, roundtable discussions, happy hour in the exhibit hall and of course, the closing networking reception held poolside at the gorgeous Marriott Marquis Marina.
