Newsletter – February 8, 2012
In this week’s newsletter we go over how easy it is to run CFML apps in the Jelastic Cloud.
Deploying ColdFusion to the Cloud
If you haven’t had a chance to try out how easy it can be to deploy your CFML apps to the Cloud, you need to give it a try.
You will first have to create your environment and then go and download ColdFusion 9 from the Adobe site. Run the installer and then once you have it up and running you will need to run the updater. You will want to update the 2JEE configuration and select the ColdFusion WAR to be updated. After that, you can install.
After that you can upload the WAR via url to Jelastic. Then you can deploy it to the environment your created earlier. Now you can run the ColdFusion Admin.
Simple. Easy. Done.

The Parallels Summit is just around the corner, Feb 14-16. If you haven’t had a chance to register, you can still do it! Just go here.
And if you haven’t heard about the upcoming OpenCF Summit (February 24-26), it is happening in Dallas, TX. One of our own, Judah Johns, will be speaking there. You can check out the short interview he did for the summit here.
