Jelastic Multi-Cloud DevOps PaaS announced strategic cooperation with LiteSpeed Technologies Inc by adding out-of-box support of LiteSpeed Web Server and LiteSpeed Web ADC in order to meet the performance and security requirements of highly-loaded PHP applications.
“We are excited to closely work with the LiteSpeed team and integrate their advanced technology in order to improve end user experience while running PHP projects,” said Ruslan Synytsky, CEO and co-founder at Jelastic.
“Cooperation with Jelastic provides LiteSpeed users with access to the next generation cloud. For us, it is also a beneficial partnership with a wide network of service providers who are eager to offer enterprise-level performance for their PHP customers,” said George Wang, President at LiteSpeed Technologies Inc.
Now, LiteSpeed Web Server and LiteSpeed Web ADC are available for installation within Jelastic PaaS with automatic vertical scaling, tunable horizontal scaling based on triggers, built-in billing and monitoring.
LiteSpeed Web Server (LSWS) is a high performance and low memory consumption web server with great scalability and a wide set of built-in features. This secure and easy-to-use server can handle thousands of concurrent connections with a small memory footprint. Due to benchmark tests, LiteSpeed performance can be up to ten times higher compared to the main competitors such as Apache and NGINX.
LiteSpeed Web Application Delivery Controller (LSADC) is a new generation high-performance layer 7 HTTP load balancer. LSADC technology is based on Edge Side Caching that allows it to fully assemble pages without internal access. It also supports the modern HTTP/3 protocol, flexible load balancing algorithm for optimal performance, and many other functions.
LSWS and LSADC can be configured via a friendly user interface that makes setup, configuration, and maintenance very easy. Flexibility, speed, efficiency and security make these servers an excellent choice for ISVs and small enterprises looking to scale their applications to immensely improve service speed and ensure reliability in case of infrastructure failure.
“LiteSpeed ensures high performance and availability for our projects, so we are glad to have easy access to this software while running applications in the cloud. It’s great that Jelastic is constantly listening to the needs of customers and adding out-of-box support for such advanced technologies,” said Dimitriz Giouzelis, CEO at WebO2 with applications hosted at Scaleforce, Jelastic service provider.
Specifically for Jelastic PaaS, there was created a more flexible pricing model for LiteSpeed stacks that suits dynamic cloud environments. The users can start with free licenses for LiteSpeed Web Server using up to 2GB per environment. Then the price will depend on the tiers according to resource usage (RAM and CPU). LiteSpeed Web ADC is charged hourly based on consumed external traffic.
